We are excited to announce FMCSF’s Peace Camp!
On Veterans Day, November 11, 9:00 am – 4:00 pm school aged children (4-18) are invited to spend a day learning about what it means to be peacemakers. As Anabaptists, rooted in the Peace Church tradition, this is an opportunity to use a day off school to teach the next generation about the importance of peace.
During Peace Camp we will practice peacemaking within oneself, interpersonally, and globally. We will sing peace songs, hear stories from courageous peacemakers, create art, and learn about advocacy and action. The songs we sing and the art we make at Peace Camp will be used at a Mennonite Action Bay Area family-friendly action in Advent. We look forward to having the kids help us shape this action! Lunch and snacks will be provided.
